Consider It A Study In Language
Kevin A. Sensenig | March 8, 2014
I’ll be revising my politics over the next year. My goal is to retain structure and to shift it, and to apply more granularity, of the type I introduced in my discussion on specific issues.
On the #ObamaDidThat.YouDidn’t theme, consider it a study in language. I’m going to leave it here, for archive and interest, but I’m going to shift focus.
I’ll point out highlights from www.whitehouse.gov, over time. I need to revisit Treasury. I’ll have to see if I made any comments about revenue; a 2012 Treasury report showed that it’s at a long-term low as a percent of GDP — just at the time when we had both a recession and deficit.
The material on Rep Fed is probably fine, and I’ll review that and enhance it, correcting if I need to.
The material on technology is fine, although I’d probably take a different stance on Carbon if I was aware of market forces at the time, from the vantage point of Apple, and maybe even current technology advantages it offers. And OS X now has dynamite multi-tasking under memory pressure.
I still think the Internet might have been rolled out by AT&T instead of needing DARPA to step in, if they had been left intact. Integrated systems, research, and services matter. But I don’t have inside knowledge.
Class squash/Instance squash should still be interesting.
I might add a book to read on the philosophy of childhood by Gareth Matthews, but I need to finish it.
I wonder if natural gas, before it’s pulled out, doesn’t form an earth crust topology natural shock absorber. Dunno. It seems like we might have reached an energy dead end otherwise, I guess. What to do?
